2.5.1. Selecting Recipients

You can select your recipients in one of four ways:

  1. Navigate to a profile and click on the user's e-mail address.
  2. Go to Users > E-mail and check off your desired recipients from the list of currently active users. Then click Next.
  3. Utilize the user search interface (Users > Find Users) to limit the displayed users to your desired recipients. If necessary, you may edit the list later
    For example, if you want to e-mail contributors who have uncompleted assignments for the current working issue, click on Advanced Search and select Has articles that are uncompleted under Article Status and then click Search.
    1. Once you have selected the appropriate users, click the E-mail these Users tab.
    2. When prompted, click OK to use an already templated e-mail message or CANCEL to compose a new, blank message.
  4. Utilize the assignment search interface (Issues > Find Assignments) to limit the displayed assignments to include only the assignees and/or editors you want as in your selection list. You will be prompted to select exactly which of these users you want as recipients later.
    For example, if you want to e-mail the assignees (and possibly the editors) of assignments which are overdue, do a quick search for overdue assignments.
    1. Once you have selected the appropriate assignments, click the E-mail these Users tab.
    2. When prompted, click OK to use an already templated e-mail message or CANCEL to compose a new, blank message.
    3. You will now be presented with a complete list of authors and editors for the assignments you searched for. You may send your e-mail to all authors and/or all editors by clicking the box to the left of the appropriate sub-heading.
