iWebPress: User Guide |
With your iWebPress account, you are given web space, which can be accessed through the admin panel by any user with Editor-in-Chief clearance. There, you can upload almost every conceivable type of file for your website. This is the place to upload flash or other movies and images for your template. You can even upload your own PHP scripts and run a message board or a photogallery. The only restriction is that you can only use the PHP scripting language (and not, for example, PERL, Python, or ASP). In addition, please note that PHP is run in safe mode.
It is very important to note that the file manager is not the place to put content (with a few exceptions, notably certain types of media). If you would like to add or edit a story or image, first find the appropriate assignment using the find assignments page.
When linking to your files, please take note of the web path. They are not located at http://www.domain.com/ but rather at http://www.domain.com/var/customerprefix/files/.
